Randomizer
The randomizer has made packing up at the end of the day efficient and calm. My kindergarteners sit quietly on our rug while I project the randomizer on the screen. When their picture appears, students silently leave the rug to pack up their materials for home. The kindergarteners never tire of seeing their face on the big screen and are highly motivated to watch the screen until their own picture pops up. This keeps them occupied and calm while the others are packing up, and I don’t even have to say a word!
Popsicle sticks have their place, but nothing captures students' attention like seeing themselves on TV. Randomizer looks great on your interactive whiteboard, TV, or projector. Students can be shown one-at-a-time or in a list.
